Well, it's not like you're going to find one laying around or in a grocery store. Junkyards, eBay, Craigslist, here. That's about it.
you planned on going to the jy, pulling a transmission, then taking it apart? why wouldn't you swap trannies altogether? and what makes you think you would need a "5th gear"?
I've seen some parts hidden on some oem websites, and you can pull the end of the case off and remove fifth gear without dropping the transmission
