Help carb gods! I need help! Carb has issues!!!!!

as most of you guys know i own a 1986 honda accord LX anyways, the carb is being garbage right now and i need help.

here's what's going on. when the car is on a cold start everything checks out fine, but once it warms up it will go to a low idle (500-700) witch is fine..kind of. now when i drive it, it runs smooth, no power loss or anything, the problem is, when i push in the clutch to stop the idle gets so low it shuts off on me, and my question is how and the hell do i fix this!
    one day I'll return.

Have you fiddled with the idle adjust screw on the back of the carb? Once the car warms up, you should be able to twist that up a bit and get a bit higher idle out of it. It's a little black plastic knob buried under the air cleaner on the firewall side.

hmm on the back side you say? ill go check, cause i played with the throttle cable some, and now i have it idling at 900-1000 and it wont shut off, but it feels almost as if i had a really aggressive camshaft in there. basically its running kinda rough

if this suddenly has started with the warm weather, I would say check vac advance leaking, esp if it is not consistent.

It is the automatic throttle controller. Its vacuum activated. So when it senses a loss of vacuum, it extends and opens the throttle to gain some rpms back, and retracts as soon as there is enough vacuum, and so on.

alright, I took the vacuum line off of that thing, and adjusted the throttle, then adjusted the float, it seems to hold idle now. Only thing left is it runs a bit rough, not as bad as it used to. Im going to pick up some carb cleaner and seafoam and gonna try to clean some of the gunk out.

By the way, this car hasnt been started much in the past 2 years.. lol so im wanting to think the carb just needs a cleaning.
    one day I'll return.
