    Smile EFR Germany (Drag Racing)

Just wanna let everyone know I'm gonna participate at the E(uropean) F(un) R(ace) in Aldenhoven, Germany on April 9 and 10. It's quartermile racing for everyone, so 10 second cars and 18 second cars will be driving there!

Last time I went there was about 2 years back, when I still had my first Aerodeck (carb). Had a time like 17,8 secs.

Maybe some of the German members will be there too??

Oh, and of course I will post times and pics!

So does your car have the B20 in it?

Edit: Never mind just looked at your thread. A20, which makes sense on that time.

So did you get any videos or pics from the event?

    A20 indeed..

    Haven't made pics, forgot to!
I think there might be a few pics made by some of my friends. Haven't got them yet but will post as soon as I get them.

One of my friends hasn't been driving, so he filmed almost everything!
When he's finished with them I'll post them here...

    very nice

i took my first 89 hatch back (all stock) to englishtown NJ Raceway park years back.

my et was 18.00 @ 80mph. I had a good 60 foot time but the hatchback i had was an auto and had a problem with 3rd slipping.

so from what i saw with your ET and trap speed, it sounds like the stock A20 ( idk with a manual or auto trans) is roughly in the mid 17's at best then?

Well, I'd say mid 16's is the best to get out of a stock A20. Just depends on how fast you can react (last time I was there there was some guy who put down a reaction time of 0.02 seconds, freak!! )..

haven't gotten to take the 3g to the drag yet.

The last 2 cars I did where rather slow.

16.9 *my 03 civic with no intake resinator, and no muffler/resinator, 5 speed*
18.5 *92 corolla bone stock. auto*

Yea for photoshop...No license plate. :3

To see me challenge a friend's Opel Corsa 2.0 turbo (over 220 HP), skip to 2:50... Stayed with him for the first half, but when he stopped spinning he pulled away really far.

It's called "the film and test location", so it isn't a real highway but created to shoot scenes for German TV series. I know they do "Alarm für Cobra 11" there..

the reaction time is pretty quick, he jumped the light. It takes so many tenths of a second for you to react and then the mechanics to get set in motion.
also depends on the type of tree it is , like if it is setup like a pro tree where a .400 RT is perfect then jumping the light is a necessity

In fact you just gotta "jump start" then... Just hit the gas a few tenths earlier and you'll have a minimal reaction time...
