get this handle off my seat

im trying to install new seat belts (harnesses) in my car and I can't get the handle that folds the driver seat off. I know a bunch of you take your interior apart all the time give me some help.

I need to get a lap bet installed somehow.

...it slides off. Forward. It's kinda hard, and you might cut your hand on the metal beneath, but it slides off.

The handles develop hair line cracks at the retaining protuberances. After that they start popping off every time you use them.

    ....then they get epoxied on.

I think I had to use a screwdriver to pry one off one time...

Yep, I was quite protuberated last time I tried taking one off and wound up cracking it... Never does fit right once it cracks.

Well ok thanks I wont mess with it. I went ahead and snipped a small part of the plastic cover behind it and slid it off so I an see whats behind it.

I never thought to much about it that on our car the left side seat belt latch is on the door not the seat, or the floor. I got to figure out a compromise.
