I think it would be a nice hack. My only concern is what hacks can (and have done) to this board.

but very point less when a good portion of the threads here dont go past the 1st page and when you click on a thread it tells you who made it and how posted in it last . then when your in the thread your on the first post witch is made by the thread starter or op (original poster)
I think it's a great idea.
It'll make it easier to identify who started the thread without scrolling to the top all the time.

it already does this, when you look at the thread in the index it shows the original posters name
I'm talking about when you are actually reading the thread like you are now...

It takes common sense to know who started it. When I first clicked on the link I saw "HON-DUH" so I will always remember that he started it. Good idea, kinda pointless/useless.
Ok so it may not be "needed" but it can be a useful tool nonetheless.
I say go for it and try it out for a couple of days, there's no harm in trying.
I can appreciate ideas for user friendly operation but I never had an issue with thread starter ID.
It probably is a pain if your trying to use a laptop touchpad, or maybe mobile device though....so OP aka thread starter this is a valid idea to submit I would say.

What about this: You know how every post has the title above it? Why not put "title name - thread starter"?
you could just add "thread starter" to all of your posts
then at least threads you start will have it

Haha, and mods could be (thread moderator) or (thread locker).
