    My Old 85'

    Hi All,
I’m in need of an opinion. I have a old 1985 Accord without major body damage that has a CVCC engine that dropped a rod about 6 years ago. I dropped the pan and it was metal shaving city. So what do you think would be the best way to get this classic back on the road? I fully expect to buy a new block due to the age and level of catastrophic failure. Should I find another CVCC engine or should I consider something with a little more spirited feel? Any opinions are appreciated.

I'm considering a ITB setup with single injectors in the TBs, but I'm afraid this might ruin the Spirit of the car. I have seen bike carbs on some engines but all vids I have seen have ran bad tuning which leads me to think that this might be a poor match up. In addition I'm still going back and forth with what block and head combo I should use. I have seen several mentions of the A20 on the site and I think im leaning this direction. Do the A20's have any of the Valve stem guide issues as seen with the some D Series? Also Shift 2 came out yesterday. Major improvment from the last game. If they keep this up they are going to put the heat on GT and Forza.

I'd recommend the A20 with EFI. Fuel line routing causes slight ass pain, but nothing really too hard.

Yep, A20 EFI, cheap and easy way to make an extra 40-50hp.

A20a3 sounds like my best bet overall. Since I dont have to run emissions in my state I can net that extra 10 HP making this almost a +40 HP swap. So the search begins.
