all things considered, id say your dyno numbers are really solid considering the setup you have with the stock ish head and cam and log mani. IF you reeaaaaallly have to have 500whp the things that are going to limit your power are the log mani (at high boost id say it could make the difference between making 350whp with the log and 450whp with a 4-1 or top mount etc) and headwork (springs to rev higher and maybe some porting) and possibly a cam. I dont reccomend a cam unless you at least get springs and retainers so you can rev higher. Be careful with your cam selection also. Also Id see if i could throw at least a 3" downpipe/exhaust in there to free up some power. 2.5" charge pipes are fine just make sure the fmic is big enough.

I have Bisi springs in it now. Downpipe is 3.5"(huge! lol). I plan on switching the turbo along with the exhaust mani. Thinking kinda front mount, but to where I can still fit a small filter and not attract too much attention. Cam is on its way, colt cams stage 1 turbo. Head is also ported and polished a bit.

What turbo you think is a good bang for the price? You think that front mount mani will be good? Should I do a more agressive cam? I'm not sure how the fmic will do. It's not big and it's a cheap ebay one(JDM RACER.. lol). Btw, what management were you using? I'm stuck between all ectune, neptune, and hondata..

Im using Crome... works good. Ok Bisi springs should be fine... i didnt know your dp was that big! haha... What did you have in mind exactly for the manifold, Im not exactly sure what you mean. As for the cam itll prolly be fine. Im not sure exactly what your fmic will support... what size is it again? I personally like precision turbos like a 6162 or 6262. I used an older 6152S with the old turbine side (a bit on the small side on this motor for max power) they are reasonably priced for a new turbo. If youd like you can also use somthing like a holset HX40 etc which are cheaper because you can find them used. If you go with a holset you might want to go use the divided tang housing and divide the collector for the best performance, which you can also do if you go with a turbo with a T4 flanged divided tang housing also. That might be the best route but its also takes the most fab to make it fit/work.

Wow! I'm sketchy with crome at those power levels! haha. Yeah the dp is big! fmic is 28x7x2.5. Thought about an HX40. Idk, I guess I have to wait to see how my turbo does, I never got to really get on it since the clutch never really held at all.

Here's the idea I have for a mani

Not so flashy, though. Thinking flat black all around there.

Thinking right behind the grille too. with something like a top mount. Idk what to do honestly. I want to get it running first. I'm also thinking I might just save all these ideas for the next build.. I'm thinking really high comp and more boost

hx40 is good and you should be able to make 500whp with it. That fmic will be small for 500whp also. You could try it but keep in mind most 6" cores are only rated to about 350whp... so 7" might get you 400whp without it being a measurable restriction...

Well damn. Looks like another part I need to buy! Wonder what's the biggest intercooler I can stuff in there... What size do you have?

Got an adapter plate for oil feed and pressure. Oh, and the girlfriend bought me an early Christmas gift!!

Still waiting on one key part to start getting everything put together

If you don't have the space, you can go with an air to water intercooler.

air to water works tits for an all out drag setup but its usually not the hot setup for the street because when all the ice melts in your reservoir your charge air temps start to rise fast. This is why i stayed air to air, not as complex. Nothing wrong with air to water though if you want to go that route.

Hmm. My brother has one on his landcruiser and his IAT is actually lower than n/a. Reason he got it is because he does a lot of offroading with it, and an fmic wouldn't help out when he's going through a trail at less than 5 miles an hour for an entire day...

Here's the kit I was looking at http://www.frozenboost.com/product_i...0b50151971f976

that should work fine. get a fuel cell in the trunk for more volume and ice when you need it.

Just got a good price back for turbo manifold might be tempted over to the darkside! lol! Blow through weber setup could be interesting just want a small turbo to get it upto 250whp with fat torque should get minimal lag and with not much weight in the car to drag should make it pretty rapid!! Gonna look at how easy it is to blow DCOE's first though before I commit but I'll probably buy it anyway even if I don't use it as it's not much!!

It is hugely tempting as mainly people say no don't do it use FI! seen a few nice builds with Webers and turbos already but they do seem a complete pig to get running perfectly! lol!

Seems like a high idle weeks help tons and a good high volume fuel pump. We need a discussion thread on here.
