    Re: A18A's 1988 Vigor 2.0MXL

    drum brakes

no drum brakes, and carb fuel tank

    old stuff

    rear discs

    efi fuel tank

    tank installed

this annoyed me cause it wasn't centered, i also swapped out the efi pump for a carb one cause i still currently drive the car

    vigor sway bar

    Re: A18A's 1988 Vigor 2.0MXL

    lowering springs in

    discs installed

    sway bar installed

    all done & bled

    enjoy

i haven't swapped the prop valve or m/c & booster yet, which causes the rear brakes to lock up instead of the front ones when you slam the brakes. i'll swap all them when i do the engine bay makeover

    thank you

today i pulled off the front panels & got the motor ready for removal. also started removing the loom, but then had to plug it back in so i could move the car, because i don't like pushing cars

well if the chassis number says what i think it does, being number 30 ca5 off the line, keep it stock just for history.
if i had ca3-1000030, i'd keep it stock as eh.
    very nice find dude

drill the efi feed line hole

Stop making me relive how little I've done to my car. Also, what's the significance of "MXL"?

2.0 = A20A (cause they normally come with a A18A), M = Vigor (Accord would be E, and Accords with fixed headlights would be G, so it goes EXL, GXL, MXL, etc..), XL is basically just a LX like your guys cars.

    Re: A18A's 1988 Vigor 2.0MXL

lucky me, i went into my wire pile and got out this unmolested 2.0Si loom. it's wired for ABS & digital climate controls. The ABS wiring is good cause I can use those wires for other car features instead of running my own wires. WIN WIN WIN

started installing it but ran out of day light

funny how it says ca5 number 30 yet there were 2348952 ca5 accords made before it in prefacelift, i dunno how that works to be honest. maybe that is JDM only as a20a motors only came in japan in facelift cars. and edm/usdm ca5's have their own chassis number thats different.

good to see the POS motors out. lol your fuel line holes tidier than mine!

    Re: A18A's 1988 Vigor 2.0MXL

lol my last efi line i hammered heaps of holes with nails and bashed it out, that was hory as fuck. i assume that these chassis numbers are specific to jdm cars. i've never seen a factory prefacelift ca5 jdm accord before. this car must be a 87 unless they didn't start making the ca5s till 88
