after a little bit of persuasion with a hammer
and a new grill
a bit more work required, aligning front panels on these cars sucks
lol the car has usdm (lack of) style bumper lights

lol yep. I can never get them 100% perfect
drum brakes
no drum brakes, and carb fuel tank
old stuff
rear discs
efi fuel tank
tank installed
this annoyed me cause it wasn't centered, i also swapped out the efi pump for a carb one cause i still currently drive the car
vigor sway bar
lowering springs in
discs installed
sway bar installed
all done & bled
enjoy
i haven't swapped the prop valve or m/c & booster yet, which causes the rear brakes to lock up instead of the front ones when you slam the brakes. i'll swap all them when i do the engine bay makeover
Wow man. A serious amount of work you're getting done so quick.
thank you
today i pulled off the front panels & got the motor ready for removal. also started removing the loom, but then had to plug it back in so i could move the car, because i don't like pushing cars
a reminder of why these carbs suck
still waiting to get my garage back to myself...
engine swap when you get the garage>? lol
love the rims!
Where do u find all these Accords?
trademe lol. and yes engine swap when i get my shed back
well if the chassis number says what i think it does, being number 30 ca5 off the line, keep it stock just for history.
if i had ca3-1000030, i'd keep it stock as eh.
very nice find dude
i would but 2.0si is the best so i'll convert it to a si
drove the car into the garage and pulled the a20a out
engine bay is dirty but not as bad as i expected. typical broken front & rear engine mounts
dashboard removed
heater & such removed
steering column & pedals removed
loom removed
pull back firewall mat to install efi line
drill the efi feed line hole
^that is what it should've looked like. this is what it actually looks like lol
efi feed line
installed
the shittiest job of the whole efi conversion is now done yay!
now the engine bay needs to be cleaned. mother nature is helping me right now by rinsing it for me
Stop making me relive how little I've done to my car. Also, what's the significance of "MXL"?
quick work Matt..Awesome!!!
engine bay is now cleaned
car is now ready for reassembly. i get the garage back tonight yay!!!
lucky me, i went into my wire pile and got out this unmolested 2.0Si loom. it's wired for ABS & digital climate controls. The ABS wiring is good cause I can use those wires for other car features instead of running my own wires. WIN WIN WIN
started installing it but ran out of day light
funny how it says ca5 number 30 yet there were 2348952 ca5 accords made before it in prefacelift, i dunno how that works to be honest. maybe that is JDM only as a20a motors only came in japan in facelift cars. and edm/usdm ca5's have their own chassis number thats different.
good to see the POS motors out. lol your fuel line holes tidier than mine!
lol my last efi line i hammered heaps of holes with nails and bashed it out, that was hory as fuck. i assume that these chassis numbers are specific to jdm cars. i've never seen a factory prefacelift ca5 jdm accord before. this car must be a 87 unless they didn't start making the ca5s till 88
Do u sell these cars? u must go thru alot of them, your yard is the like the Dream version of Pick a part LOL!
my other ones are deregistered, only good for parts. only people who would buy them is the scrappy
I have 2 with live plates, one is a project, and the other is this one
