Yes, lock have to be mowed to the left abit, I've tried on my gray car to hammer indentation forward but later I discovered that previous hole was/will be touching new one so I scrapped that idea. Anyway I want facelift bumpers and some better front windows as my are scratched, Idea was to get all that along with the trunk lid.

shipping bumpers from here would probably be uneconomical. Good bumpers here in NZ are rare cause they're all warped. You'd want to get the bumper covers from the USA where they have solid bumpers that don't warp (and is probably cheaper shipping too). Can't you get windows locally? Only thing I can probably easily help you out with is the number plate housing

No I cant find any that are in good condition here, maybe because our northern wet climate damage inside seal and dirt collects behind it, sandblasting in a sense. I didnt know that JDM's were non solid, just as here. I need new onse because of that, so I thought why dont facelift at once.

I have learnt something this morning. That is to insulate relays from the weather, otherwise all 4 air horns may just randomly turn on at 1:30AM and wake everyone in the area up

lol h22 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYtrag2QvuU I will be pulling it out tomorrow to see what's wrong. hopefully it's just a rooted tensioner which made the belt slip. a f20a will be going in its place in the mean time

yup, can't win aye. funny thing about this car is it's the motors from newer cars that have failed, everything else about the car is fine

    Re: A18A's 1988 Vigor 2.0MXL

I started on my hydraulic clutch pedal conversion today.
this was my first plan of attack. auto pedals, cut brake pedal & a prelude clutch pedal setup welded to them

realized that there was no way all that was fitting under the dash, so ditched that idea quick fast.
after some comparing & measuring, i came up with a way that might work

red line shows where i have to cut a hole

I made sure to drill straight into the main loom

weld this piece to the pedal

seems to fit & operate good

a view from the engine bay

the pedal travels the full distance of the master cylinder without any issues

need to sort out the engine bay lines, tie the loom out of the clutches way & probably spend some time going over kill on making it reliable. then i can put it to the test.

also found out what was wrong with the f20, a balance shaft main seal for some reason just fell off. sweet easy fix!
