it's alive and powers its own wheels, now i have to do all the shitty boring stuff of tidying it up making it work mint
Sweet!
Is it touching the firewall?
Nice! Another H22 3gee on the road!
it's very close, i had to cut out the torque rod mount thing and bash some of that lip away from just under the chassis number. I also had to bash the frame rail a bit for the crank pulley to fit properly, and also the subframe that holds the steering rack. I didn't realize how big these motors where till it was in the engine bay
I took it for a drive today, left side axle binds like fuckery under load. i'll just chop some of the cv joint off till it works. that will do until I can get me a mid shaft from a 4g accord. drivers side axle works mint though, it's a EF civic axle with a 90 accord inner CV
power wise, I'm currently using a dohc f22b ecu (no vtax) and it's about as fast as a good running b20a. so it should go mint once i've wired up all the extra stuff and install the h22a ecu.
You need VVVTTTAAAKKKK!!!!
I just spent all night converting this
into this
the car is permanently obd1 now. I'll tidy that up tomorrow.
the h22a has 2 ECTs, I don't know where to wire the 2nd one. I get error codes for ELD (using an Accord alternator instead of a prelude one) and a o2 sensor heater error, dunno why, sensor must be fucked
i put the gauges with a electric vss in (no more cable yay)
power steering is also all done now and works the best ever since i've had the car
almost complete, main things left that need doing are:
notch the stock crossmember (for the exhaust) and put that back on
install a heatshield between the exhaust and shifter cables
modify my passenger side cv joint
install teh dual core radiator
and get another rocker cover
sweet!
are you excited about having a vtec accord that u made by yourself that wont pass a Warant of Fitness Check???
still havent driven it yet lol. i'll make my car wofable some how
at least now the mounts are sorted you can pull out the engine and get someone to weld the mounts and make them look prety
i really wont look forward to pulling the motor out of this, that will be like a whole day job just to get it out
i took it for a blat today, car goes hard
amazing!

vids after the car is fully functional
today i decided to notch the accord front cross member to clear the exhaust(cause the prelude cross member had too much fail going on) obviously i didn't measure before cutting and cut it way off target
never mind, it turned out all good
installed a stock radiator, wrapped the hose joinery things in tape to fit the bigger hoses
not much room between my the fan and my churr bro clutch adapter
should have a rocker cover by the end of the week if things go to plan
lol measure not at all and cut 30 times!!!
Is it functional now?
i do drive it yes, but it still needs a axle, exhaust heat shield & a rocker cover before i'd call it complete
Nice swap Matt!! And Im digging the yellow top valve cover lol
that wont be around for much longer, there should be another one on the way to me right now
also fixed the axle binding problem, i removed both clips on each end of the axle so i could move the cv joint & bearing holder as far back on the axle as they can go, on the outer end i welded it to the cv joint, on the inner end i just slid the bearing holder thing as far back as it would go. hory as, but is working good for now lol. now i can replace the upper & lower ball joints on that side that have play in them now lol
told ya that idea would work
indeed. hope it's reliable lol. now my rocker cover should just hurry the fuck up and arrive!
i reckon. then u need to get some fuel and come a visit au
lol yeah, when i have money to throw around. i washed the car
