    Tranny slips. 89LX

89LX Carb Auto. Tranny slips but only on low RPM and only in top gear. When I give a little bit more gas it stop slipping. On highway it slips randomly but when I move shifter between Drive and Neutral (very very close to Neutral. If I'm not careful it switches to neutral) It stops slipping. Also Parking wheel lock doesn't work. Flashed tranny fully and fill it up with Honda-Z1 tranny fluid. Now car shifts like new but still that slipping on 4th. Any idea?Thanx

Adjust your TV cable and shifter cable. Also make sure that the two cables aren't bent or frayed or anything.

Is it slipping in 4th or is your torque converter not locking up in overdrive?

Hmm... It happens only in overdrive when I'm very very light on a throttle. It feels like it catches and then let go for a 1/4 second and then catches again. It's random. The worst is between 1.2K and 2K rpm. You can see tach jumps about 300-500rpm. On off on off (1200rpm 1700rpm 1200rpm 1700rpm). Again it only happens on overdrive. Everywhere else tranny shifts well.

If your converter dosent lock up it will seem like the tranny is slipping in overdrive.

Yes it was torque converter not locking. I adjusted TV cable and flushed tranny (all 6L) with Z1. Now overdrive is always locking. Thanks for help.
