    A/C problem "Need ideas"

A/C is acting up. When the a/c is engaged and on the lowest setting (blower), it cools fine. It gets close to 40 degrees. As soon as I set it to any other settings it seems that the compressor disengages and stops cooling.

I'm suspecting the relay. Or could it be the blower settings control unit?

If there is not enough gas in the system to build up pressure, the compressor will not engage.

I would recommend you to get your A/C system pressure measured and refill accordingly. Of course you'll need to keep an eye on it, because if it looses gas again, then there is a leak in the system that needs to be fixed.

That is an odd one. SO you suspect the relay is loosing its run signal from the blower switch?

I guess I would jump out the compressor switch and make sure it will run with the fan at full speed. Ill glance at the drawing sometime here and work your way back from there.
