    TEC distributor igniter

This weekend in driving my 83 accord after its good and warm random 20 miles? it would act like it was loosing all power. It was like it was flooding out. I changed the oil and in changing it I dropped my wrench and it hit the alt pole and I didn't think much of it. I figured if was going to blow a fuse it wouldn't start. Well it started up and was idling smooth. I went for a test drive got about 10 miles and it up and died. No restart. I got it home and check main fuse and 45a was gone and 65a was good. So I changed out the fuse and no start. I pulled number 1 plug and there was spark but now I find not enough. I checked the coil and it was below spec so i bought a new one thinking that was the problem. Nope same thing very weak spark.
Even if I spray ether in it no fire. But I pull fuel line and gas is pumping out of both lines. But gas doesn't seem to be getting through. No gas coming from accelerator pump. Plugs look clean no oil or fuel. In searching I found another due use item the distributor. I have the tec distributor. Is the igniter fried since spark is very weak? Any input very much appreciated.

side note i found carb is off a newer model it has the site glasses for float adjustment and fuel is at the mark in the bubble. Thanks Kent

    Re: TEC distributor igniter

Well I put a new distributor in it and it is sparking like a mo-fo. But it will not fire in the cylinder. I poor gas in or try ether and it doesn't even give me a pop. I move the distributor and same thing any position. No backfire out carb or exhaust. I'm wondering if it jumped time? I put a timing light on it and tried looking for a mark but couldn't see anything. Any suggestions?

I was going to look at the marks on the cam gear with valve cove off but it isn't like a 3g The marks must be on the opposite side closest to ac compressor.
