looking real nice dude!
looking real nice dude!
how many miles ive added since i made this thread...
and pic of updated interior, lude wheel and matching armrest/cupholder setup.
its cool that the lude wheel buttons still work on our cars for cc.

I know they look good but IMO I feel like drags are a bit played out. Why does the front look higher than the back?
I'm not sure why but it might be because my driveway is a little weird.
but its actually higher in the back when it is sitting.
during acceleration the back does squat a bit. but im only running drop zones and tokicos. so its just a little soft.

very nice with the wheels I really like drags
need new front struts.. atleast im pretty sure i do :s i had to drive down a bad construction road and think i blew them there. going to the jy in a couple days.
theres a sedan there with a a set of kyb's ill take the front ones if they are there still. and make some tophats..

If you want a stiFfer suspension DON'T get the kyb gtr's. There pure stock replacements. I bought those with 3"lowering springs. I'm sure you know that but just making sure. The rims look really nice man. I want a set of those now
Low loud lovin it!

what else are my options other that ksports? they are way to much for my income even if i saved the money to buy them i wouldn't want to.
stiffer than tokicos would be great... how are the gabriels?
edit. also its just 1 front strut that blew.. its annoying as hell driving with the left front of my car bouncing around.
I <3 My CA6
update. my strut was not blown.
when i installed the struts i forgot the washer under the dust cover, so the dust cover was the only thing supporting the rubber grommets and the dust cover from sliding down the pole. well it all slid down the pole and well the strut was not compressing, it was just sliding upwards out of the top of the shock tower. if you know what im talking about then yeah thats what happened all is well now and back to minimal bouncing.

going to purchase a new vacuum advance thing for my dizzy here shortly. prolly later today, mine is shot. hopefully im running a little better after that.
EDIT: it turns out you can not buy them from autozone, as the vendor no longer sells these.
options turned to ebay.
is this the right one? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Standard-Mot...item2a14c5592a
EDIT 2: turns out that guy doesnt even have any, hes got them on backorder with no ETA. SO im pretty much screwed for now.. i REALLY want to get a good one... if anyone has one please let me know :/

new update, nowhere at all sells vacuum advance's. i managed to get lucky enough to find one at the jy today ( so happy ) it works and ive got alot more power. no more stuttering
when i took the cap and rotor off, the pin that rides on the rotor was completely gone, so i bought a new cap and rotor, havent changed that yet but will tomorrow. i ran out of daylight. lol

I wish I would of seen this sooner cause I think I have an extra vac. adv. laying around but at least you found one.
its all good, i only paid $10 for it. and the gas money to get there.
with the new cap and rotor on it runs like a dream.
also ive still got a little problem if anyone knows what it could be im sure some of you have had the same issue, under load around 1500 till like 2200 about.. i get a fast ticking noise that sounds almost like a solenoid spazing out ? maybe its the valves, im going to adjust the lash in a few days ill see if thats the problem.
also i think i should mention ive been driving on a bad right cv axle since the start of this thread ( right side ) and im suprised its still holding together lol. the tick is not from that.. obviously. its something with the engine it might be something with the egr..

^ Spam, bro.
I like the coupe. I'm glad to see another MB/SSM coupe get some love. Definitely my favorite color combination.
My word that is a f**kn sexy 3rd gen dude.
Really nice coupe!!
my ever long oil leak has finally taken its toll, whole underside of my car is covered in oil and leaks so bad that its time to change the pan and gasket.. have to set aside the rest of my day for that, taking pictures as i go.. should be done later. atleast i hope... cause i have work tomorrow.
I <3 My CA6
didnt upload pics yet, but she still leaks.. bad.. i can not find the leak.
its not looking good though..
I <3 My CA6
Did you check your main seals? Front and rear?
i took a glance, didnt see it coming from there it looked like it was only the pan. but maybe it could be the oil pump behind the timing belt cover?
also im thinking of buying a swap when i get my taxes. if i get enough back for a b swap. then expect some nice updates to her :P
ill have my friends dad make me some mounts.
I <3 My CA6
It might be from there. I took me a while before I figured my oil leak was coming from the oil pump. I first thought it was the front seal but when I removed all the covers I found out it was the pump, so I replaced it and the timing belt at the same time. It was around the same time I switched to synthetic so that could be your problem. Hope you get enough for a swap! If you do I think you might be the first coupe with a B-series but I might be wrong.
hmm.. the leak i still have might not be as bad as i thought.. still not positive though.
turns out my power steering has sprung a leak somewhere more than just a little from the rack.
ill have to wait till i see dark oil drips, if they keep the clear color ill know for sure.
cause new oil and power steering fluid look alike.
and ofcourse when i changed the pan i put new oil in it..
have to drive it for a couple more days and ill know for sure.
