    Re: MessyHonda's B swap

I moved to a new place in July and got internet installed about a month ago. I like my new place its a in law unit in the back of the main house right next to a 2 car garage. I had to clean up the garage to even get my car to fit. Today was my tune up day. Replaced the oil, tire rotation, new cam seal, valve cover gasket, vtec solenoid and low profile washers. I had them since April and just collecting dust. ok enough talking and now for pictures.
Here is the plain and boring engine bay. Its a daily driver so keeping it clean has fell sideways.

    Under the valve cover

Taking off the cam seal cap

Installed Skunk2 Cam seal and Vtec solenoid.

Installing new OEM spark plug grommets on the new Valve cover.

here is the final product. Now that my leak has stopped I will get my engine steam cleaned.

hope I will be around more and thank 2oodoor!

Nice tune up man! Glad you got that VC painted too because it was looking pretty haggard.

What will the Skunk solenoid do?

The skunk2 Solenoid is just billet and it cleans up the engine bay a bit. Wanted to replace the oil seal and vtec screen. Engine feels alot smoother but it needs more power now.

Thanks Josh. I remember when I joined I looked up to you guys. Im planing on picking up Hondata S300 with the coil on plug set up but I first need to install my wiring harness.

I also picked up a new half size radiator. Its time for me to start getting it ready for a turbo set up.

    Re: MessyHonda's B swap

Very True jessy. You can get the what i got for only 350 an plugs to your stock ecu. idk i cant see my self forking out 1000 bucks for a ecu an other 500 for the coil on plug add on. you get the same results plus B series use Honda fit coils perfectly. Which is what im using which im sure you know that.

To make it little bit cleaner i just added the cover. Took me couple hrs to run the harness (pre made) to ecu an tap a few wires an wala done. hondarulez sells it complete kit with coils for 350. oem coils as well. I think its a steal.

anyway dont want to jack your thread just giving you other option .

    Re: MessyHonda's B swap

looks very clean and a good deal. Im going to turbo so this is why I want to go with Hondata. I should just pick it up to run NA for now but i still need to stall some of my bolt on. I need to install my 70mm skunk2 TB and going to upgrade to 3 inch exhaust. I first need to pick up a daily because I use my car every day so i can only do day or weekend projects. Richard and I are working on getting a Traction bar with one of his boy that works at a welding shop.

    Re: MessyHonda's B swap

    Update: 09/10/2016

    Hey guys,

I've been busy with work and life. The accord clutch cable decided to snap in June. They had it in stock at the part store and I replaced it in the parking lot. In July I moved back to San Mateo and now i'm putting more miles on it. Raced a automatic G35 with intake and exhaust and I smoked it. After getting off the freeway I noticed that my car would not go in gear. I would have to turn it off and start in gear. I had a Stage 4 clutch since last year so all I had to do is pick up a aluminum flywheel to install. I also installed my MFactory LSD with new carbon synchros and bearings. It shifts very smooth and now its a bit firm on gears. The clutch is a bit heavy but its ok as long as I'm not in traffic. I have put 500 miles since the LSD install and its so werid that in turns the car just wants to turn and its nice to have power in both wheels. I have already pushed my car around the twisties and I ended up 180*. Now I know I need a traction bar since my accord one keeps on breaking. Its the 3rd time in the last 2 years. I will keep you guys updated with more since I will be taking it to JCCS 2016.

it was time to upgrade to a 350mm wheel since my 320 was a bit small and would not let me see my cluster. got a momo and wow what a day and night difference. looks an feels good to drive the car. its a quality wheel and you can just tell by the build.

Thats what I want you to think. Both bottom radiator mounts had to be welded in the bottom and the top stud of the radiator had to be relocated but the hoses fit just perfect. I'm glad I went with this set up to make room for a big turbo kit and way to mount a rear mount intercooler.
