Ok, intending to go OBD1 conversion on my car, and the EGR tube is stuck. A week of PB Blaster + torch has gotten me exactly nowhere.
At this point I'm considering just dumping the EGR system. I know stock, the LXi EFI system will toss codes if I remove the EGR valve.
My question is this: Does the OBD1 aftermarket tuning system allow you to COMPLETELY disable EGR?
Just want to verify before I go hack this damn tube off the car so I can continue removing the head
LOL, nevermind. Removed the EGR valve - there's nothing here or in the intake/exhaust for the system to read actual EGR flow.
In other words, I can leave the valve, plug it all up, and the system will never know the difference. I'll tackle the OBD1 scenario when I get to it
I don't have egr with obd1. No cel, and no problems at all
yeah only the automatic obd1 computers had a EGR option
