new noise coming from engine drivers side its a kinda low frequency "blop" i cant really explain it much better but there arent any decreases in performance or fuel efficiency any ideas what it could be
It's hard to tell. You probably want to do a thorough visual inspection of things. If that doesn't reveal anything, then just ignore it. You'll find out what it is eventually. No point losing sleep in the meantime. LOL

i already looked and nothing looks out of place or wrong, well the funny thing is there is also a smell i just noticed while commuting to school its almost like a burning smell not rubber but not oil or plastic its kind of inbetween the smells i cant put my finger on it i guess i should say my nose on it
p.s. when should i adjust my valves i have put 7,000 miles on it in 4 months and i dont know when the last time it was done
Need more details... When driving, idling, cold engine, after it's warmed up, etc.
when driving i cant hear it but when its cold i hear it and when its warmed up ...well to be continued ill check when i get done with my commute to school... yup its still there but it is quieter
Does the noise vary with engine speed or vehicle speed? That might help narrow down the areas to search.

I need more description, Ive never heard "blop" as a stand alone audible, it has to be repeated sound, or how loud, exactly when rpm, what gear etc..rolling, standing still what...
Going by the info you provided so far, I would first check the crank pulley bolt for snugness, those have been known to work loose and give little warning before disenguaging! Smell could be belt runnout.
^^^ nice. I wouldn't have even thought of that. Makes sense tho

get a video or better description?
Random? repeating? can you track the source with a hose maybe.

Adjust your valves every 15,000 miles.
I've made myself crazy tracking down random noises on old cars. Usually it's something loosening up with age. A complete restoration of the car can fix that, but that's probably pretty far down the priority list. An example from my own car is a clattering noise up front when I drive over rough roads. It's been there for about as long as I've owned the car. It sounds like the front end is going to come apart, but steering and handling are unaffected, so I haven't worried about it. Just this last week I was driving down a rough road listening to the clatter. I hit the brakes and the noise went away. Bingo. Loose caliper. Obviously, I'll take a look at things when I change my brake pads next. My suspicion is that some slop has developed in the caliper housing around the guide pins. If that's the case, then new calipers and pins might fix it. However, given the fact that most rebuilt calipers come from calipers as old as the ones I have and that little attention is probably paid to the guide pin housing, it probably isn't going to fix the problem. I can take my old calipers down to a machine shop and have some bushings put in, or I can just turn up the stereo. It's not a safety issue, so I will probably just turn up the stereo. Grinding noises, clanking noises and scraping noises should be investigated and fixed quickly. Otherwise, try to ignore them until they turn into the above noises or produce driveability symptoms.
Having said that, "low-frequency" noises in the front are often wheel bearings.

Sounds like a misfire at idle, maybe. What's your fuel economy been? If you're running rich or your timing is off, you might have this issue, if it's what I've heard.
Is it possible to do a video and post it to youtube?
my power steering pump was dry one time yet had not affected steering quite yet, low and behold it made a strange noise kinda like a blop more like a walking granny fart. Almost wooden sounding.
Ive seen GM pumps with so much end play in the shaft they blopped as they pitch out randomly. That goes in hand with the loose crank pulley, it would be similar I guess.
Need to hear it.
and Snooz, so listening to old cars made you this way? lol
