my nephew armoralled my windows (he is 2) because he wanted to help well now my windows are never compleatly clean you can see a haze over them and it wont go away no matter how many times or methods i use to wash them any suggestions
I would try some Simple Green diluted with water. If that does not work, I would next try rubbing alcohol on some paper towels.

Older cars tend to fog the windows up even without the help of 2 year olds. I think the old plastics gas off. Best bet is to keep after them with whatever.

clay bar system, you can also try dish detergent, Armour all is basically rendered animal fat, it's nasty stuff, it will also ruin your dash over time
Methyl hydrate will clean that off,it's a great glass cleaner.
invisible glass is the best glass cleaner i've found.

Years ago, I shipped a VW bus here from overseas. The shipping company coated it with cosmoline, which is like petroleum jelly's evil twin. What a bitch getting that stuff off.
The problem you may be having is the small amount of armourall on the initial swipe of the rag is coating it, which then gets redistributed as the towel is moved around. Sort of like cleaning a white convertible top, you have to clean a small area at a time and keep turning up a fresh rag surface.
There's always acetone, just be careful and don't smoke.
If all else fails, this will work: No Touch auto glass stripper. Hopefully they're still in business (I've had it for awhile).

Everyone has their suggestions, I'll throw mine in. Use a few drops of Dawn (or any mild dish detergent) and water, and use fresh paper towels every wipe. Your smearing it around, and the silicon in the armorall is very resilient, which is what gives your plastics that shiny look for a while.
^ yeah i didn't think we needed a basic how to clean things lesson but maybe that's what is in order here.

Well the methyl hydrate won't take off the paint if your careful, just pour some on a cloth and wipe. Then use another cloth to wipe off the residue. If you didn't want suggestions why did you ask.I've used it on my glass with no problems.
The only thing I use on glass anymore is a slightly damp rag. I take care not to use any kind of fabric softener on the rags. It leaves a film. Every chemical cleaner I've tried splatters on other stuff and/or leaves a nasty film.

newspaper is the best! for regular cleaning
and to first get the shmear off use warm water and regular dawn dish soap, have plenty of clean towels to prevent cross contamination of clean and gooey.
I don't understand how this got so complicated.
use armor all on a wiper so it doesn't get on glass, or the many other things that it eats up.
I know when I get a film of who knows what on my glasses, dawn and water cuts it.
