D2K5-2004909 tranny interchangeability question
Yup first post regarding this transmission. From what I can search on this tranny is it came with the B20A/B18A. I tried searching but can not find an answer to my question.
Is the tranny compatible with the usdm 86-89 accords? Or will it only mate up to the B20A/B18A? I have one that came extra with my 3g prelude and I've been trying to sell it for the longest time. Finally found a buyer and now want to make 100% sure it will work with the A20A1 and A20A3.

Nope. That's for the 3g Prelude B20/18 only.
From more research this is what I found.
ACCORD CA 2.0HC3 1989 88 5 GEAR B20A D2K5-10075
This tranny was originally from a jdm accord not a prelude.
Also when I say b20a/b18a I meant the jdm version of the accord, not the prelude.
Has anybody used the D2K5 tranny on there factory accord engine? A20A1 or A20A3?

is he saying he has the jdm gearbox that fits the b20 for our cars?

definately wont work in a 3rd gen accord. the selectors are cable type not rod type and its hydro clutch not cable so it definately wont work
Thanks. Yes after searching for more info it looks like it was actually all along for the 3g prelude motor. I've had it for sale for an accord for almost a year now. x.x
