    whats this hose attached to manifold heat shield?

    I pulled off my heat shield since its not really there anymore!
    And theres this hose attached to it, but the other end was not connected to anything... what would this have been for?

    FSM says hot air pipe (carburated engine only)

    ah,, looks like it connect just underneath the air intake pipe.
    I supposed you need the hot air when trying to drive in winter
