Project Black and Blue 87 Hatch

Hello from NY fellow 3geez members. Long time lurker I finally have decided to start a build on my accord. I bought the car from the original owner 3 years ago for $700. I put a set of miata wheels on it and have been driving it as my daily every since. Between work family and my other project I had no time or desire to do anything to it.

Here it was after I bought it and put some wheels on it.

Ive had to do very little to the car other than the basics over that 3 year time.

I left work last wed with a stock accord on wheels. Over the thanksgiving holiday I made a new cai. My exhaust was leaking at the cat so I deleted the cat luckily cause of the age of the car I dont need that for inspection.

Me and my kids had a detail party. We broke out the flat black to clean up the bumpers, trim and wheels. Polished up the 24 year old paint best we could, and most importantly came the drop.

Heres where we are at now

And My one daughter " fixing my wheels "

Thanks guys. I think I got very lucky with this purchase, it was on craigslist for almost a week. This guy was selling it for his mom who was the original owner. They where asking $1200. According to him they had some people come and look at it and had some very interested but none came with cash in hand. This guy was in some band and when I called to look at it he said come in the next hour cause Im on the road for the next 2 weeks. Looked it over quick saw how clean it was in and out and that it only had 85000 on the odometer. Offered him the $700 and told him I would take it right now. I guess he needed the cash quick to fund his trip he didn't even hesitate.

It just shows you how some simple mod can make our cars look so good. Where did you get the fog lights?

Haven't done much lately other than a wheel change. I still have my miata wheels. I picked up a set of these steelies with new tires for almost nothing. They just needed repainting. The center caps got some tlc and I had a set of trim rings I put on.
