I just got an 88 accord lx-i for christmas. Its been sitting for quite some time, and I'm in the process of replacing parts. 20 year old, first car, wanna make it dope. Suggestions?

well since its been sitting for quite some time...exactly how long? then maybe we'll be able to help on what you need and plus a seach key is there as well to help with issues or for sale threads.
Welcome! I'm afraid you'll have your hands full just trying to get it running right as is. The mods will probably have to come later. Post pics of the car for us!

Thank you guys! Will do on the pics, and how long its been sitting.....i'd say the better part of this year. I've driven it quite a bit during the summer, and the fact that it won't start now (with a semi-charged battery) leads me to believe that its the alternator. I'll keep you posted
Welcome!
The better part of this year isn't too long. I recently bought another 3g
which has been sitting for almost two years and apart from the fuel tank and
filler pipe (rusted) and the battery it was in great shape.
For mods I'd suggest to search on this board, there's tons of info on here.![]()
Less than a year isn't too bad. If it has been harder to start then it could also be the battery....btw welcome!
