bwahahaha good eye there. That is something my rommate got from his job. its to move concrete slabs around easy. i just sat one of my beer bottles in it instead of the trashcan.

but vids and all that stuff will be posted in due time. I have a sony Action cam so ill take some incar vids of things once i get a good mounting place for it.

    but small update.

Got my head back from the machine shop yesterday. valves and seats have been recut so its gonna seal sexy like. no P&P yet. im gonna practice on the spare heads i have once this one goes in the car. I also got the b16 manifold installed. I messed up drilling the holes so i took it to a machine shop to get the bad boy fixed. Its on the head now but im only using 7 of the 8 studs(it shouldnt hurt a thing). I also got extended intake studs. A friend of mine told me about the problems people have when they install a thermo gasket and I didnt want to run into them so i spend the 30 bucks for the kit and picked them up. Its a 30mm stud kit from a ebay store called SickSpeed. Pretty simple stuff but its nice looking. Hopefully this weekend ill be prepping the new motor to get dropped into the car and go obd1 at the same time. I dont think ill be boosted by the end of the month but its okay. I'm not in a rush at all.

    now onto the pics:

    Longer intake studs

    old intake stud vs new

it ends up looking like this

    Fresh head

so you can see the seats were recut, he left the blue on it haha

    manifold installed

When you get this thing up and running, watch those intake manifold nuts like a hawk. When I tried using a nylon insulator gasket I had terrible problems with the nuts loosening up, which would screw up the alignment of the ITBs. With your common plenum type manifold it may not be as much an issue, but keep an eye on them at least for the first few runs.

That should work. You might want to lock the studs into the head as well, otherwise they will unscrew with the nut.

    Got this finally:

so now its time to prep the motor I got for light boost. Ill be starting on this prob next week. I have to go to drill this weekend kinda bummed out on that but its okay. Its only a few more days. I cant get too far because the clutch I ordered almost 3 weeks ago isnt here... -_-

    Re: Tdurr's round two!

did a bit of work today, got the motor on the stand, pulled the clutch and fly wheel off, called the company and they called spec, found out that my clutch should be shipping out tomorrow because Spec has had a manufacturing delay.

I also got my oil filter base gasket changed out on the block, the current engine in the car leaks like a bitch.

I also went ahead and put the oil filter sandwitch plate on there ready for my oil pressure gauge. I need to get around to mounting that and my boost/vac gauge.

Then after all that I HAD to get a test fit of this on the engine..

Im Excied to get this thing going. After i get the head on there im going to adjust the valves and get that straight, replace gaskets everywhere(im thinking of rear man seal just because), then flip the motor and pull the oil plan and get it drilled and tapped for a return. then ill be just about fully ready to drop the motor in beside the clutch and flywheel.

Why would you use that mass of sprinkler system plumbing when you have a compact log manifold?
Nice to see any progress though, ¤{}€

because the ramhorn is cooler, and is externally wastegated. It prob flows smoother then the log too. Im pretty sure it would.

but updated, crank pully bolt. Fuck it. I need to remove it so I can replace the head, timing belt, belt pully, and other random gaskets. .. how do you guys remove the pully bolt?
