Yes they would. Act list more options for the year civic then ares. However when i called them they made seem as if there wasn't a difference between the two

The clutch that has the same spline count is the 88 zc. However is says the the clutch can only be used with 92-00 civic fly wheel. I think is it do to the surface space off the flywheel. However the bolt pattern isnt the same on a d series as ares. But the series is. That's as far as I got

Here this will help you. It also explains it better. I havent been able to test this to see if it will work. But once again this gets us better clutchs but nit really sure about flywheels or pressure plates.

ZC clutch kit, which one do I need? [Archive] - TheZCR.com Forums

oh look at that, some life in here haha. But good questions being asked here. I currently have a spec stage 2 in the car but I randomly have problems with it slipping for no damn reason. IDK what it is. Some times it grabs like 2mm of the floor while normally its near the top. clutch cable has been replaced and adjusted so idk. Im just hoping a new clutch solves the problem.

Onto clutch choices, i do know that spec couldnt get a stage 3 made when i was buying the one in the car now. I was half thinking of getting a guy to make me a clutch disk out here in Atl, and just finding a good strong pressure plate to work with. Or calling up comp clutch and seeing if they could do anything for me.

    Competition Clutch

    8009-2-1420 88 civic
This is supposedly good for a 300% increase in torque.

Well fuck. If I did my math right that's only 366 ft/# of torque.

Finding the pressure plate is gonna be the problem. I would start there. Spec list a stage 5 but oya listed at 304 ftq. I would think the the Plate is the reason its not holding more

Nothing wrong with a good old fashioned thread jacking. Haha but if we could find one that was 300% over the a20 tq it would be around 400 & honestly it shouod hold. Jerry, what setup are you running again?

No wonder why frantik or 0bd0 (name change???) Does not want my advice. You're now my competition! You said it your self your goal was to beat me. Come get it son!

Lol ahhahaha my goal has never been to keep up either of you. No offense to you but I'm trying to keep up with my friends out here that are in the sub 10 sec class most are now in 9's. When I'm done with my final build I would be gald to tow it to your town and drag you both up and down the street. Now that's my goal.

    Re: Tdurr's round two!

hahahaha YES! u can trailer u car here. ill drive mine after work to the strip and bust that ass!

also, i didnt know u built that mount. it does good.

But for real tho, im considering spending some money to try and get a legit powdercoating business then use the profit on race car. only thing is all i REALLY have to do now is get injectors, a good sized turbo and build the spare block and ill have your competition Jerry. its a hard choice. Mainly because i wanna enjoy myself now.... like tomorrow haah

    Re: Tdurr's round two!

I know what you mean I just want to play. I have all the big things worked out for a baby set up. I'm also building a head (+2 all the way round and delta 272) and 84mm LS rod's forged block with a Balanced and knife edged Crank. At that time I'll replace the manifold, turbo, and injectors for t3/t4 ball bearing, custom manifold, 1000cc or 1200cc injector. There will also be water/meth at this time as well.
