Misfire after tune up, what did I do wrong?

Ok I finally got to replacing the spark plugs, wires, ignition rotor and cap. But when I replaced the ignition rotor the new one I got was not as snug tight as the old one. Anyways the first one I bought did not work and the replacement I got started to make my car sound/feel like it was misfiring. Anyways I was going to head to pepboys and get another replacement since the last two came from autozone. Anyone have any thoughts on this subject? Do I have to use a lube/glue to get the ignition rotor to fit right?

    three things come to mind:
Always buy cap and rotor in matched sets, same brand.
Sometimes new wires can be defective or damaged during installation.
What kind of plugs did you get? Im kinda wary of the tiny electrode denso, stick with NGK V groove.

most likely you have mix the firing order...or messed up wires.

i would get the NGK's spark plugs and wires. cap and rotor should be the same.

agreed. If you have to use glue to get the rotor to work its def not the right rotor...

I got all the right parts, the car ran good for about 10 miles before it started misfiring. Anyways I drove about 20 miles today and it did just fine. I was just concerened that the rotor did not grip properly because the old one I had to give it a hard tug to get it off.

Anyways how do I get to the air filter in the bumper

Unless you have a CAI, the air filter is behind the intake manifold. If you do have a CAI then you can remove the bumper for easy access.
