TBH, I have tried very hard to identify if this car is a 1986 Honda Accord as it is registered. Or, if it is a 1985 Austrailian LX model as it does not have the concealed lights.

Also could I stick 15" on this beast without any real difficulty?
Not a bad looking ride right there! Yeah, that's actually an 85 at the latest. Definitely a 2nd Gen. You should have no problem fitting some 15s on there. Bascially anything that will fit a Civic or Integra will bolt right onto that guy no problem.Welcome to 3geez! Hope you stick around!

cool to see another nz member. where abouts are you located?. it probably is a a 86 as most nz new 1986 accords here are 2nd gens still :P
Thanks guys!! I scored the car off a friend of the missus and it actually is a really nice ride with only 145k KM's only the clock.
I think I might stick some Integra 15" on it + give it a decent paint job.
Oh and I tried to fix a huge dent in the bumper (I'll upload a photo) but I think I'll need a replacement. Do only 2nd gen bumpers fit or are there any other models that have a compatible bumper?

A sure way to find out if its an 86 is to look at the VIN# on the car.
Yeah I assumed NZ was way behind so it def is a 2nd gen. Does anyone know if a 1986 civic hatchback front bumper would fit on this beast, as they look the same?
Civic bumper probably won't fit. The Accord was a bit bigger than the 3g Civic.
yeah the accord looks a bit wider. could try an integra one but it will probably look too modern on the old 2g
What about a 3g accord front bumper, reckon that'd do the trick?
Probably too wide, but could be cut down and rejoined. Mounting might be totally different though.
Hahaha, looks like I gotta keep my eyes and ears open for a 2nd gen bumper then aye
