    A2k5 swap!!

Last week 5th gear started popping out when I let off the throttle. I went to junk yard last sat and found a 87 prelude and pulled the trans 125 bux and core charge of 30 bux. I was kinda worried what if trans didnt work then I would have to do it allover again. Every thing was the same on the A2K5 as the A2Q5 exept the axel output shaft seals A2K5 are diferent size then A2Q5. I replaced those and did p/s, ac and cruise control delete. And Honda MTF.

I very impressed trans smooth and clean no problems and 3rd gear pulls hard. I was going to trade my old trans in for core back but I want to keep and do the teg hybrid. The funny thing is I had an 88 teg trans before I got this car and now im kicking myself in the ass for getting rid of it. Let me know what you think.

Nice job! So apart from the axle output shaft seals it was just plug and play...
I'm keeping my eyes open for a crx mk1 trans, to do the teggy hybrid.
Too bad we don't have Integra 1.6 over here! All we got is the 4 door sedan 1.5...

Isnt that the " twink tranny " or whatever from the CRX Twink engine and its got an LSD in it as well if I'm not mistaken? I've been wanting to do a Clutch swap with like a Stage, 3, or so.. but i might as well Slap a bomb tranny on it at the same time.. and save myself some time and frustration later on down the road.

The trans came out of a1986 perlude. I have never heard of a twink Trany from crx. Is that from the ew 12 valve motor mk1 crx?
