hi yall just joined up thought id introduce myself, Im kody and have an 89 lxi accord that my grandma has passed down. she got when i was around 8 and it was what i learned to drive stick in, its sittin at about 260,000 miles on it and still runs really well. If it wasnt sentimental I honestly think id set on fire

Theres alot i dont know on these cars, then i found this forum. Im a diesel SBc guy

I got my 89 LXi from my grandmother as well. Unfortunately, she only got to enjoy it for a few months before expiring. I have done her proud by keeping it on the road for almost 23 years.

If you are mechanically inclined and have an appreciation for mechanical artistry you will grow to both love and hate these cars. Of course, it's mostly love. Kind of like a marriage. My car did outlast my marriage, by the way.

oh dont get me wrong i love the little guy most days. But then some random intermittent problem will start and ill dig around trying to find it and itll just magically stop and never come back. I dunno if thats common for these cars or mine just has a personality. Still runs like a top tho. ill take a picture or 2 later on
