    lowered

Just a teaser I will have more pics up tomorrow. I had civic e-bay no name adjustable coilovers someone gave me in a trade. Somewhere on this site someone said civic coilovers could not be used on the rear of the 3rd gen accord. I figured it out and it works good. I used 1988 CR-X rear struts and fit the rubber spring retainer into the stock accord top hat with spring retainer in it. So rubber spring retainer from CR-X inside rubber spring retainer from accord inside accord top hat. That took care of bigger spring to smaller spring problem. the lower bracket on 88 CR-X strut is wider so get bigger bolt or pinch it together just don't throw off nut and hole alignment.

CR_X rubber spring retainer next to accord stock top hat.

    rubber inside stock setup.

the one with the spring is accord the one without spring is CR-X.

    fits good rides great

Stock height I will post tomorrow on the front and pics of the job when finished.

    Re: lowered

I saw this style top hat on this site I cant remember where or who did this so the top hat was not entirely my Idea. I wish I could remember who so I could give them props. I have done top hats for a couple civic projects before so not my first time.

I need to cut all thread still. I cut bushing cups off of stock top hat with 2 1/4" hole saw so I could retain rubber cup for springs Inside wheel well. I bought two hats from junk yard And with 1" square tube made legs about 1" long and welded them on for all thread to pas through.

I'm very pleased with this setup. If upper a-arm had more room to travel the 3g could go lower but then we run into scraping frame problems. I want anti sway bars and strut tower braces. I also found 88-89 integra front lip I haven't got around to that yet maybe next weekend if so I will do pics on new post about that. I think it looks good let me know what you think good or bad.

Thanks for replies I like it when I get feed back. No lower it's fine where it is I don't want to worry about every little nook and cranny. I want to be able to rally the streets.
