Chirping sound coming from engine somewhere.

as the title states there's a chirping sound coming from my engine somewhere...it get's louder and faster when I step on the gas. I think my valves need an adjustment, but I'm not sure. Any ideas? thanks.

mine did that too. evry time i pess the gas especialy in one paricular place it would chirp or make a whistle sound. found that it was due to the air mixture screw had been turned.

So it turns out I had a parakeet nest in my engine bay haha I'll check the air mixture screw, I have been having problems with my air/fuel mixture anyway.

I would suspect the water pump or timing belt tensioner.

^^ This or the alternator bearings are going out.

alright, I think the timing belt is due for a change, I have no idea when the last time it was changed was. my car needs a lot of little stuff.

1st order of business is inspect/change your accessory belts, make sure you do not have any p/s fluid leaking on them. A tell-tale sign of oil leaking on your belts is a dirty streak on the underside of your hood over the belts.
if you are 100% sure your accessory belts are not squeaking then it could be a bearing failure in your water pump, alternator, t/b tensioner, or p/s pump or even an internal engine bearing failure.
Throwout bearings on 5-speed cars can do this noise, I've even heard auto trans cars make this noise if their fluid is low.
Does it make this noise in neutral or only in gear?

I checked all the belts, and listened really hard but couldn't figure it out. I ran seafoam through my system last night and it stopped.

I have a similar problems. Mine only does this once in awhile, but i get pretty bad chirping. The one time I hit a puddle and it chirped for a good 30 seconds but went away. Each time it chirps its only for a few seconds but then just goes away.

They all look good, but i think the one needs a little bit of tightening.
