I just bought some LEDs to put them below the seats, just like in the 89Hatch's video. Mines might not be as bright as his, but I liked the idea of having more light when the doors get open. Then I will put that bass-beat follower circuit so I will convert my car in a moving disco!

Nice! Looking forward to seeing how it turns out! You putting in a solid color or multicolor?

They are multicolor, however the store had only white, orange and blue, so I will need to make up some other colors using the white ones and some color paper as filter. In spanish it is called "celofan" paper and its sold in a lot of different colors.

As soon as the sun sets I will make the first test and see how many LEDs I would need to get a decent brightness. I installed 2 of each color to start with.

    Thanks for the 'bright' idea!

The power of these LEDs is not that great, but they can be seen even when the interior light is ON.

So I want to turn them on like in the modern cars, when the door is open they will increase intensity and stay ON until the door is closed and then get slowly faded away until off.

Started with one set of 6 LEDs and I just need to build 3 more. Each LED will be individually driven, so I can do almost the same as my front lights.

I can improve the illumination pattern if focus them to the floor, when I took this pic the LEDs were loose pointing to anywhere in specific.

Looking good man! A little dim, but looks good regardless. It'll look cool to have them dim/fade when the doors close and all.

They are slightly brighter in "person" haha, also each LED is from a different color and the the camera didn't capture that. How are yours installed? I'm planning to use that little border under the seat to hang the lights using a metal bracket. But the rear ones, I'm not sure. I think I'm going to install them below the front seats and looking backwards.
