Every turbo thread i bumped tonight.

    The threads were found here.

    https://www.3geez.com/forum/showthread.php?t=46593

IMO if you have not posted in 1 year you need to be removed and put in the general section.

I didn't even know these existed. Lots of good info there. Could you explain a little more what you're hoping to see happen?

Its not so much the threads them selves as much, as I would like to see josh, Tim, Guyanabo's (sorry if I butcherd it) threads get some reconition. Mostly the guys that seen it through. There was a thread that was not posted in for 3-4 years with no updates or even a hint of them finnishing it.

These guys were or are breaking new ground. You cant forget Accordepicenters new monster.

I may be going about this all in the wrong way, but I wanted to make a few waves.

What happened to all my old threads? Shoot, been so long, the tape back-ups the data is stored on probably turned to dust by now..

Re: Every turbo thread i bumped tonight.

don't ask don't tell and you might get to be one.

If you do all the foot work, pm it all to a mod. Then they might update it. Not long ago I thought I could change it but the thread was locked and removed from the foundation area. It was explained away and I was blown off. Fuck it, If they don't care to be apart of the forum, I don't care to try and change it anymore.

The turbo/ performance mod came by the other day and posted about an Audi. OK.

This has got to be the only forum that you don't have to contribute to be a mod or admin.

On a side note.. who actually answered on those prehistoric threads. None of them.

I am sure I'll get a warning in a few. lol

thanks guys, but I dont want to be a mod. I want for "them" to care about "our" fourm.

If you guy's want, pm the director and mention me and how you want to see the mods and admins contribute. Tell him how displeased you are.

With all the mods who never show up, why is it so hard to replace them? I don't understand it.

Sorry guys not on the admin team at the moment, can't help

    wait that's my post hehe
well maybe I can help but you do realize that's a very old post with all the links, I think I made that before we had sections like "forced induction" as a way to link all the turbo related threads together. The forced induction forum makes that thread less relevant IMO. If you want just post links in that thread to your or someone else project and I'll be happy to add it. It would save me the time of "Catching up" and finding all the threads myself, since I've been gone a while.

Re: Every turbo thread i bumped tonight.

There are a number up changes and updates coming up - some I can discuss and some I can't. Largely because I don't know the full extent of what should be done.

There will be staff changes. I have some in mind, and I am soliciting opinions from existing staff about it. But I have received a total of one email or PM from a concerned member so far. I'd love to hear more, believe it or not..

The board will be moving to my server soon. I need to determine whether or not I will need to upgrade the server in order to accept 3geez. With the switch, we will be upgrading the vbulletin software, which will bring improved functionality and new features. I'm looking to integrate blogs, a home page, the e-newsletter and I will do what I can to bring us a mobile site.

This all costs money, and other than what I get from Foundation donations and whatever Google decides to send me from ad revenue, I pay for this site, server and software out of pocket. We're typically subsidized by freelance work that I do on other sites and marketing/PR work. The point is, 3geez is a costly project for me, and it's an entirely volunteer effort from the moderating staff. We get done what we can and as soon as we can do it.

Like I said, I encourage direct suggestions and ideas. We know work needs to be done. Now it's time to think about how we do it.

Re: Every turbo thread i bumped tonight.

I am an admin probably for one reason... Hmmm.. Lets see.... Anyone care to guess.. Hint, look at the join date..

I am sorry that I am not really part of this team, as I no longer have a 3geez, I appreciate the fact that I can still come on here and see what is going on. I feel like the grand-pa of this forum. I like the growth of this place. I remember when Brian and I were talking about the inception of this site and the works that went into it.

Joe---if you need a server, let me know, I have many places that this site can be hosted, I just need the traffic data to get the needs of this site taken care of.

Thanks Justin. The server is paid for, and I have tons of bandwidth and space that I need to use. The only question is memory. If I have to spend a few bucks to upgrade, I will.
