    Koni Adjustment

Ok, so if your not aware, I'm currently running Koni Reds with Tokico springs. Since installing them, I've had the Koni's on the "maximum" rebound setting, which, while it is a pretty aggressive setup, can be a bit harsh.

Now its been a few years since installing them, so I'm trying to remember... would it be counter-clockwise after compressing them, or clockwise to adjust the rebound setting? And what would you recommend for a daily driven setup? Looking for a BMW-ish ride.

    Thanks in advance.

    Bump, anyone?

This thread reminds me of when I was a mechanical novice and had Legend_master help me install these and my rear sway bar. What was that? 2007? Maybe earlier...

No wonder I find the ride to be a bit harsh. Thanks for the link, that was perfect! That link is no longer up on Koni's site, and I couldn't find it anywhere on the board.

i have my front adjusted to 3/4 trun from soft. they ride nice but i think it rides better because i dont have as much weight as the a20. the front stuck up more so pico and i cut a coil on my springs to make it go down.

    Re: Koni Adjustment

I always forget which way is which. I just mark the shaft and body with tape to set where I started. Then turn completely in one direction and pull back on the shaft after compressing it to see if it rebounds faster or slower

I wanna say... that it was like turning up the volume on a stereo was the same as turning up the firmness. I am pretty sure that it's clockwise to stiffen.

    Re: Koni Adjustment

    Clockwise is to stiffen them.

The adjustment will depend on your spring rate.
