    Belt skweeks on startup

How do I thighten the belts to make the noise stop? It only happens On start up or when it is really cold and the heater is on. I assume it is the altinator belt because when I turn the lights on the noise deepens and continues a little longer.

Any thoughts or tutorials I can follow?

I would rough up the alternator pulley with some sand paper so the belt grips it a little better, try that.

When I had that noise in my car, I tried adjusting the alternator's tensioner over and over again, and I first screwed up the water pump than getting rid of the skweeking noise.

The remedy was to put a new belt.

    x2.

If you keep on increasing tension eventually the water pump bearings or the alternator ones may give in. Getting a new belt solved my squeaky noise.
Unless the other two have been changed recently, replace them all.
If it ain't broke... I fix it!
