My son's 88 dx was ran hot and the head was warped . The shop shaved one eight thousands of an inch off of it. I so not know the odds of the block not being true . Maybe others have some experience there. May want to get it checked and compare the cost to a supplier on eBay that sells heads that are completely reworked. J. I. S . On eBay sells reman engines for $750 long block excluding shipping.
How much was it to shave the block? Did they charge too much?
