Look what I found at the junkyard!

Please excuse me for my lack of knowledge on these carbs, and well in carburetors in general, but I currently own a 83 accord sedan and just started doing research on the swaps for the carb. I came across this one pictured her in an 89 accord so i took a few pictures to bring back her and get some feedback if its worth buying and if possible would this bolt up to my 83 accord. Im assuming not due to diffent intake flanges, but just want to make sure. I Could pick this thing up for dirt cheap! I have the stock EK1 motor automatic trans. Please feel free to ask for more information. I will be more than happy to answer to the best of my ability. Thanks!

So with your knowledge can I do a swap with this intake manifold and carbon to my 1983friend accord sedan? I would love to take it myself but, what's the difficulty and would I need to fabricate or modify much? I will keep it if its just a bolt in and hook up. Is there anything else I should pulled with the carb? Cable linkage, hoses?

Well I pulled the Carb off the 89 accord today! you will see in the pictures the custom mounting bracket the owner must of made for the throttle linkage. I went ahead and snagged that right up too. it appeared to be mounted under the EGR... I think that's what ut is?? then there is the picture of the intake manifold. the carb was sitting on top of two flanges or metal brackets if you will. one had. the four studs and the other slid onto of it. more pics soon! so can I slap this pup on my 83??

The carb will certainly fit. You may be able to modify the adapter plates you have to work with your manifold, but if not, there are plates available for your engine.

You'll need either 99004.100 or 99004.120 depending on which engine you have.

Yeah no doubt. I don't know what the chances are. 25 bucks not bad. I think I have to go back and pick up the other throttle linkage bracket. I hot a custom made one the owner must of made but I remember pulling another off that looked like was part of the own cable. Are there any pics of the correct adapter plate for the 1.8L

I think they are still in business, Pierce manifolds, they should have the correct adapter plate and linkage adapters
