In my rambling post of NKOB, I referenced a movie called "Time After Time" where the damsel in distress drove a 1G Accord. It's a great film, but there's lots of interior/exterior/driving/tire change/chase scene stuff in there. Captured a few things off my laptop--excuse the shadows...
The gauge pic is of when the hero who doesn't know how to drive, revs the crap out of it, and bumps into everything in sight. *cringe*

That's awesome. I always see them in the background of movies (like in Back to the Future) but I've never seen one quite so front and center. Going to have to check that out!
Ha Ha ha! It's SO true... I don't think I've seen any movies from the late 70's through the 80's that didn't have an old first gen Honda in them somewhere. Now it's just a game whenever I watch an older movie..."Spot the Honda!".

Here's another quick slice of one from the movie "Oh God" from 1977. I'm thinking this would be a '76 model--it has neat swoop-style decals on it. It would be the wife's car (Terri Garr) since the husband (John Denver!) drove an AMC Pacer.

Just watched that last month, I remember when they had a flat...it just looked so new in 1978! I guess back then even a bank clerk could afford a brand new Honda accord. ;-)
"Time After Time" is one of my favorite movies. It is one of the very few in which Malcolm McDowell plays a good guy. David Warner was particularly good in it as well.
