they look pretty awesome..
I <3 My CA6
Cheers man. They're Rota OSRs![]()
now that looks sick
Doom, that's a KIV-700, but close.
A18A, cheers man![]()
Well, I haven't dealt with one of those, but I know that most Kenwoods have an option for European tuning.
Oooh, really? Any idea where it might be located?
It's not something I've ever had to do before, living in Europe n all, but if you know of something that means I can get radio, that'd be awesome!!!!!
I installed a 995 in my girlfriend's car a few months ago, so I do not know offhand, but I can check it out later today.
I've managed to find out how to tune it for European stations now. Cheers though anyways man. Found that if you hold the middle button on the knob and the display button whilst turning it on, it sets it to European tuning![]()
I am glad that I could help. That's a beautiful car, by the bye.
Yea, never would have thought there was a way of doing it to be honest if it wasn't in the settings!!
Cheers man, I love it!! Can't wait till I have the money together for the full restoration and make it perfect!
That is a really sweet Areodeck!!
Cheers guys. Can't wait to get it even lower!! It's annoying how high up it sits at the moment, but whilst it's static, I can't go any lower really![]()
Wish me luck for tomorrow though, as I'm probably going to see about making my own front and rear lip for it!! Got a bit of maintenance work to do on it too, as it seems to like overheating when it's sat idling in traffic for a while. I'm guessing it's a blocked rad as when it's running it's fine. We'll see though eh?
Do the fans come on?
They do when it's overheating and near to the red. How far up the gauge should the needle be when the fans kick in?
Saw your post on Stanceworks, glad to see you here too! In love with this accord man, I HAVE to get one. I want to be the first to have one legally in the statesthe smoked lights look amazing as well, great aerodeck overall!
Who knows, maybe you'll be able to get one sooner than you think! Just gotta find one first though, that's the fun!!!!
Not done much today, stripped the headlamp washers out as I never use them as I always forget about them! LOL Now got a cleaner looking bumper, though there are 2 holes in it at the moment that have rubber grommets in them, but it works, and that's what counts.
I found the problem, or rather, problems with why the car was overheating too. One problem was that my stat was jammed shut, and the other was that the thermosensor wasn't reading properly, so the fan only kicked in when it was overheating massively!! I've currently removed the core out of the stat, so the water is just free flowing through the engine, and I've jumped the thermosensor too so the fans are on with the ignition, but I'll see about fitting a switch so I have control over the fan, as I do a lot of long drives, it's nice to be able to keep the engine a bit cooler by keeping the fan on longer![]()
Oh, and I've been playing with some photoshop ideas too for the new paintjob. It'll be satin white primarily, but I was toying with the idea of maybe a gloss black roof and hood bulge, or maybe just a gloss black roof, or even all satin white. Personally, I'm thinking just the roof in gloss black at the moment.

A final photoshop idea, and this is how the car is going to go. Satin white and satin black 2 tone combination![]()
Marvin's been feeling a bit down today due to the weather, and although he has a new drivers door mirror, there is quite a bit of rust behind the mirror, so that got him feeling a bit down too
Basically what I did was relocated the fuses and switched them. I have 2 switches at the moment, one for each side, and I can stop the lights wherever I wantI need to do the joint switch tomorrow as stopping each light on its own at the same level takes a bit of skill and a lot of luck.
With my system I can do depressed Marvin, drunk Marvin, fly in the eye Marvin and flirting (aka winking) Marvin.
I accidentally put ethanol in Marvin's tank and he got a bit drunk!!
The switch controls. The left two do the left and right lights respectively, the right switch controls my cooling fan (didn't have £25 for a new sensor so I just bypassed it, much better!!) The left light and the fan are both turned off, why those switches are the opposite direction to the middle (right light) switch.
And the wiring from the fuse box:
I know most of y'all will think that sleepy eyes don't look good on a 3G, but I did it for a few reasons, one being that car is named after Marvin, the paranoid android, and it looks even more like him with sleepy eyes. The other, as sad as it may be, is so that I can disable one of the lights and make the car "wink" at girls walking along LOL
i like the new rims WAYYYYY better man, have you thought of doing battle ship grey for the car? i haven't seen a 3g much less an aerodeck that color.
dead white and blue
oh and on the wiring, i hope you put a fuse inline that's not the safest wiring i've seen haha
dead white and blue
this is the best place for all our add-on feature switches on these cars. i have a few switches in that spot too lol
you could even hide a few switches in there and put a faux cover on it lol or just throw the ol sunglasses in there.
dead white and blue
Yea, the fuses are relocated behind the pocket. It is a brilliant spot for hiding switchesI now have another switch in there for both the lights

Cheers, I really love the wheelsFavorite part other than the pop up lights. Lol
I was thinking battleship grey and satin white but it just didn't look right on the photoshop so I kept darkening it till it went black. I can't wait to get the rust sorted and have it resprayed.
