only way to make them come up halfway without doing a lot of electrical bullshit is to pull the fuses for them out of the fuse box and wind the motors manually (they have caps you have to pull off the motors to see the turny things). these cars also cannot pull off the sleepy-eye look without looking very depressed, if that's what you wanted.

These cars don't have the lines for that to look right. They have a bend in the cover, so sleepy eyes looks really odd on these cars. Less sleepy, more downs syndrome.

sleepy eyes on this car only look like your headlight controls are broken, remember these are true flip light, not ones that raise up and down, so they sit at the wrong angle when half up.

These lights are not really flip ups since they do not actually flip. They rotate on an axis so they're just regular concealed head lights.

Your car with look like it has Down's Syndrome if you do the "sleepy" look.

thats how flip up lights work,vs having linear motors that raise them straight up or down

now if you want one headlight to wink, thats easy, you simply need a DPDT relay, the two wires from the motor itself go to the common two terminals on the relay, the original two motor wires come into the NC two terminals the NO terminals, one goes to power and one goes to ground, separate power and ground, not the original ones going to the motor, one relay coil terminal goes to that same separate power, the other goes through a pushbutton, other side of the pushbutton goes to ground. when you push the button, the light motor is switched from the headlight control circuit to independent power for a moment, the motor cycles and the light goes up and down while you hold the button, making one light wink, if you add a second relay to the circuit, you can make the light come on while you do this

What do you call the lights on an Opel GT? "twist up lights?"

OP I think the look you may be seeking is by using HID modules and completely removing the headlight "flipped lids"
