Fuel filter bolt need help plz!

Not sure if this problem qualifies for this area.....

I just changed out my nasty fuel filter today along with my injectors was a very simple job to say the least, but when as i was taking off the bolt to relieve the fuel pressure (6mm bolt that is screwed on top of the odd shaped banjo bolt) the bolt stripped pretty bad and couldnt use a 12mm socket on it anymore and had to use these vice grip thing, so now my problem is when i replaced the filter and put that screw back on on top of the banjo bolt a very tiny amount of gas comes out, almost like vapors and not in drops

I found a pic that shows which screw im talkin about

Anyone know whats a good replacement because the dude who said he just bought a replacement bolt for his at a hardware store had pressure problems still.

I'd say pick up replacement parts from the junkyard.

if it;s the one that screws into the top of the banjo bolt, you won't find it at any hardware store, if you go to the yard there are probably a number of hondas that have the same one, I can almost guarantee someone here has one around

Did you replace the sealing washer underneath it?

If it's just a tiny leak, then try cinching it down some more. In truth, I've never removed that little bolt. I know they say you have to bleed the fuel pressure first, but you don't. Next time, save yourself the trouble of tracking down that little washer and remove the big bolt only.

that should be an aftermarket part, it's just a metric bolt for the banjo bolt, it should be the same as a bunch of other Honda stuff

What would be the name of that bolt? I can't find it on eBay or anywhere I'm pretty sure I don't have the name right.

According to Majestic Honda, it is part# 90009-PP4-E00. It is listed under the FUEL PIPE listing. Honda calls it BOLT, SEALING (6MM) and it is still available. A dealer would probably want $5-7 dollars for one but just thought I'd give you the info.

Sometimes flipping the washer will get you going in a jam.

I'd bet that a small o-ring might do the trick as well. Fuel pressure is only about 15 psi.

I am assuming that this car is fuel-injected since you mention one filter and banjo bolts, in which case the fuel pressure is 36-41psi, not 15psi
