new speakers and new radio

does anyone know how to install a new radio and new speakers for my honda accord 1988 lxi

I just put new speakers in today. Take the panels off (a few screws) and then unscrew the speakers and disconnect them. Pretty much the same for install. A new deck should come with instructions.

i bought 6 1/2 for the front and back because was looking at some sites and they said threats the measurements for the car is this the right size

You'll have to modify the plastic basket. Not difficult at all.

you can make 6 1/2 fit in the front as long as the magnet doesn't block the window from rolling down.
You can put 5 1/4 in the back or 6x9, depends on the pod
I pulled some 6x9 pods from the junkyard, they bolt in in place of the 5 1/4 pods

i bought infinity speakers all 4 6 1/2 because was reading on a site and they said 6 1/2 is good for both front and back. they also come with a plastic do i use that or the original that comes with the car and i modify it a bit like cut the back of it because they because the back of the infinity are bigger

I cut the original baskets and mounted the new speakers with the new trim rings on top of that, it helps ensure good magnet to window clearance
