If it goes faster than 115, it isn't really a Honda anymore.
carb or efi? if efi, is it getting fuel as well? if not, i would suspect main relay. if it's not the main relay, then i would suspect the ignitor
Pretty sure efi. I'll have to make sure later today. He said he checked the main relay... But for some reason I doubt it. He said its a good relay but something tells me he didn't.

The car is an EFI

It was the computer that was messed up. Thanks.

Did you find out what exactly went wrong with the ecu? they usually never go bad
Well first he told me CPU then he said main relay. Idk. It runs now, so that's all I care about it. He's using it for a circle track car, a gig I take no interest in.

If that was a 4ws lude...
Those 2 & 3 gen are strong contenders in the circle fwd classes though
Well he has no interest in anything Honda, even gives me shit about mine. But his brother was the same way, until he started helping on the 'lude. His brother is changing into a Honda fan because he's seeing over and over how to keep them running from JY parts. He likes the way they are built, so soon I can see him driving one.

It probably was the main relay... seems like a weak point in most the older Honda's. However a shorted out ecu or bad ecu is pretty unlikely ....
The car is running, I completely forgot about this thread. And it was, indeed, the main relay. Thanks, folks! Much appreciated!
