The neon shit out on me in a parking lot not close to home. I had to bum a car to get a jy starter and then change it out in the lot. It works but now I haven't a way to get back to grab it, bla.

Re: what are you working on?

Trying to get my car aligned, I don't want to "leave it" anywhere all day. It's got cold here now but I need to fix the right side camber kit, I didnt know they were stamped RR and RF. Need to drop the UCA and switch those so I dont get charged extra.
I went one place and got a bunch of blah blah blah and they were going to look at it then the exhaust hangar caught the rack so the car wouldnt go on it, then the PS hose busted right then... Very disheartening.
    Looks good lowered though

My god. Is it standard procedure to remove the entire car to do engine work on a VW?

You've obviously never worked on a VW. He was just replacing a headlight in that post.

Re: what are you working on?

Looks like a pretty bad leak externally from the head or intake (if that intake has coolant running thru it) You can see where it leaked a while...
don't you need to replace all the head bolts too on those?

Oh yeah, those frames were brazed up by little old ladies (for real). Old Schwinn's are fairly collectible, although the market value of collectibles in general has really tanked.

Re: what are you working on?

some dumbass owned it before and it's basically all f'ed up, I just got the headset and I'm about to fix that, someone is sending me the proper rear derailer, it needs tubes and tires, and just general work, if I feel like it I may repack the rear bearings and crank bearings this weekend, It has all the 70's accessories like the best bikes rear rack, the tiger generator, star headlight etc, it even still has the factory suicide levers on the brakes, I converted the light to a high power LED, made a super bright rear light, and I'm trying to figure where to hide the batteries, I'm leaving the generator for looks, but I hate those things, it's got some paint chips, but I dont want to repaint it as it's original, it's character, still trying to figure out why the front derailer has to sit crooked to clear the chain, the bracket and mechanism was there , but the derailer was broken off at the welds, I got another Schwinn approved one, but the bracket was too small, so I swapped the rail, it may need a spacer
