    Noobie from NJ

hey guys new guy here from NJ i picked up my 78 accord about 2 months ago

got it super cheap it was in amazing shape 77k original miles 5 speed interior is a 98 out of 100 (the dash is a little faded and the drivers side factory floor mat is a little messed up) runs great but the carb needs a rebuild im gonna just throw a weber on it...its a work in progress but its getting there slowly but surely doing bodywork it needs a passenger side fender and thats literally it

future plans are paint,exhaust,4x100 conversion (probably gonna just use adapter plates) and rims(drag DR20s)

idk if i can post pix yet but i will as soon as i can

Wow, are rare find, indeed. Even more so being in NJ where they salt the roads in winter.

    Re: Noobie from NJ

the car was origonaly from maryland than i guess the previous owner was from NY judging by the inspection stickers....it sat since 08 the front fenders were rusted out at the top and bottom i managed to fix he drivers side one but the passenger one is GONE defanetly gonna need a new one

i was told the engine was rebuilt because it needed rings.....and it looks like its got a new head gasket as well its in amazing shape for a car in jersey better shape than my old 82 mustang gt

    Re: Noobie from NJ

thank you very much! i still have tons planned.....im keeping the interior 100% stock with the acception of replacing the factory shifter with a custom Hurst shifter with a white ball....and im swapping out the head rests with one out of an 85-86 mustang GT

the exterior needs a lot of work still i removed almost all of the trim now im getting ready to fill the holes

kept telling everyone it was a rust magnet and was i right...all th paint under the trim was bubbling up

2 colors for the body i have in mind.....one is the factory color and 2 is the color of my old mustang

and these are the rims i want

do they make fender flaes for these cars? or is there a universal kit i can find?
