    Just became the 2nd owner of a $450 87 LXi

    Hi everybody! (who didn't hear dr nick in their head?)

    I just bought a one owner Accord with a nice rich patina. She runs real nice. The guy I bought it from has all is repair records from day one (214k miles). I bought her on Saturday evening and put in a new battery, ngk platinum spark plugs, air filter, changed the oil and did a sea foam treatment in the oil and in a vacuum line.

    She seems to have good power, but since I'll be driving 60 miles a day I need to make sure I get the best power and efficiency I can.

    I'll be browsing the site for more tips and whatnot. I've already gotten a peek and I'm real happy to have found this site!

    bought a rear bearing assembly (precision brand $34 thru amazon) which should arrive in 2-3 weeks.

    got some new michelin tires, 175 instead of 185, which I don't think is a big deal.

    found out my valve cover gasket is leaking pretty bad, I'll replace that on Sunday!

    added two quarts of oil after adding one quart yesterday. drove about 150 miles in between (oil) fillups
