    New Kid from MN

    Hi everyone,

    Im Nick from Minnesota. Im guaranteed a 1989 Honda accord lxi coupe. Im buying it from a really good friend for 900. Im 17 and this will be my first car that I bought on my own which is kind of cool to me. It has 200,000 miles with a lot of new parts on it. It does have a wing on it and trust that is the first thing to leave the car.

    I have tons of plans for this car. My first is to remove the wing and then get better rims. This car has a mint interior and body.

    I have always loved car and I don't like those kids that rice out their out their Honda's (I know this one is kinda rice but it was treated very nice).
    So to sum it up I'm not one of those Hooligan kids these days.

    Yeah I don't mind those rims either I think that when I lower it, it will look better. And he's giving me an amp for subs that I'm going to sell for parts money. It was reprinted 2 years ago too.

    Funnily enough, I actually like the look of that wing. Would be perfect if the Accord were rear wheel drive ;_;
    Another vote for liking those rims as well. Welcome!

    I like the car the way it is. Even the wing. It's period accurate and well done, so I'm good with it. Of course, removing it would give you better visibility and probably another 5 MPG. Keeping it will save you a lot of body work, which is pricy. I'd say the wing is better than a bunch of primer gray bondo for sure.

    Another welcome. And, I'm inclined to agree with Dr_Snooz re: the wheels and wing.

    Yeah Dr snooz your right looking at it more the wing looks cool and it beats the body work hours. And those wheels are like 1980's American racing wheels and I think if the car was a bit lower like an 1 in it would be cool.

    You have a really nice car there and that's pretty rare anymore. I would say don't be in a hurry to do a lot of modding. Enjoy the car for a couple years. Learn how to take good care of it before making any changes. Start with small changes and learn how they affect the car before moving on. Don't launch into anything big and crazy until you have a thorough knowledge of how small changes impact things.

    Oh, and try to keep the seatbelt out of the door.

    Oh yeah I didn't plan on any major mods at all. The most I planned on doing was the lowering kit and exhaust. I don't have the heart to mod the car it just seems to nice to mod to me. I just want to baby the car. I want to keep the car for a long time. I also can't afford a lot of expensive mods because I live the life of a teenager and I lack a good income, but hey it pays for gas and I'm having with my friends.

    I already got the seat belt caught in the door
    Accord is all I could afford.
