Its starting to get cold here. And whenever i go to school in the morning after i had just started my car, i drive down the road and as i accelerate, a fast high pitched noise comes from the hood, the sounds gets worse as i put more pressure on the pedel. I have a strong thought that it might be the fan belt. My frined told me it is the fan belt, because in the winter they tend to shrink.

a squeeling fan belt meens one of two things. 1 you need new belts or 2 they need to be tighted up. mine do it to from time to time.
Well, since we have no FAN belt on these cars it could be an accessory drive belt, either alternator/water pump, power steering, or A/C. My guess is the alternator/water pump belt. It can be tigthened by the adjustment at the alternator. I would check that first.
may they are over tightened too !
