Lx to Lx-I trunk replacement.

Does anyone know if the an Lx-I trunk would fit on an Lx, and if it does fit, will all the trunk lights still work properly? Also If I changed The tail lights, would those work properly as well?

Well, if you have a hatch and try to fit a sedan or coupe lid on it, then no. Otherwise, it will all fit fine.

86-87 dx lx lxi sedan tails are the same
88-89 dx lx lxi sei sedan tails will fit and plug in
coupe lamps look different but I think they will work

The following have differently styled tail lights:

1986-1987 sedans
1988-1989 sedans (changed with update from black trim and 6 tail/4 brake lights to red trim with 4 tail/4 brake lights)
all coupes
all hatches
all aerodecks

Coupe tail lights will not fit on sedans. They are not the same shape nor size. Tail lights fit regardless of trim level (DX, LX etc).

edit: Also, same goes for trunks on coupes and sedans. Coupes, 1986-1987 sedans and 1988-1989 sedans all have different trunks that are not interchangeable.

86-87 sedan trunk will bolt right on to a 88-89 sedan. its recommended to get the outter tails as well...the nice thing about 86-87 trunks is the sexy JDM tail lights fit them lol. Trim levels do not apply same exact part

when it comes to coupes and hatchs (which i doubt you are referring to since there was no LX trim on them) the parts are not interchangeable has to stay coupe parts on coupe, and has to hatch parts on hatch( except for the front end there all interchangeable up front)
