Good times CAH! You're pretty hardcore putting the long block in before the manifolds. Hope to see you rolling soon.

so much easier to get in that way to be honest. i have pics of my sedan the same way. the long block by itself without manifolds only weights about 80lbs lol i picked mine up and put it in the bay resting on a jack then lowered it into place then attached manifolds when i had no hoist in NC lol.

its the easiest way without a hoist lol... i jacked the car up super high slid the motor under lowered card on to some rims (only thing i had as jackstands there lol) put the motor on my jack...jacked it up in to place (Y)....if i had a hoist i would of done it with the trans attached but i never put one in with the manifolds on...makes getting to the rear engine mount so much harder lol

    and thanks me too

word lol.... whats interesting is trying to get a complete F22b2 with intake mani, trans in to a CB7 from under the car using a transmission jack with a missing castor...took 5 people LOL had to have a bunch of people holding the engine so it wouldn’t fall off, one guy on the jack and i was under the car trying to get it to line up...was so not fun

The best part about them, is you can buy an HF and get epic mileage, or get an Si and have a bit more fun. How many cars are actually like that anymore where you get a sweet range of choices, other than what kind of nav system you want?

the best part is that the HF is MPFI to begin with so if you get sick of it's slowness you can direct swap it and not have to worry about other shit.

That's why I like the CRZ. It's both an HF and an Si. Flip a switch and it goes all super econ. Hit it again and it's all sporty-zoom-speedy.

This crazy guy brought one to an Autocross, it was pretty fast. Amazingly fast around the Autocross track. But "how" it drives, I can't say. I imagine the old CRX has a little more purity to it.

Re: My hyper mile slow beast CRX HF

I've not driven one on course, but I did get to take one on a VERY spirited drive. The salesman hadn't gotten to drive one yet, so he wanted to see what it can do. We both walked away impressed. I test drove the first one to make it though PDI at that dealership. If it weren't a 2 seater, I would have traded our Saturn in on the spot. It's the ONLY Honda that interests me right now.

driven a crx si recently? to compare the two isn't really a fair comparison. true golden era honda suspension vs solid rear torsion design like the fit? it's not to say the crz isn't fun, it's to say that the crz isn't the crx and doesn't compare in my eyes. having driven both; the crz left me uninspired comparitively.

i love the crz's looks but it is NOT a crx. much to my dismay.

Re: My hyper mile slow beast CRX HF

Yes, I have driven both. I feel the CRZ is the best they could do given the placement of the battery pack. Rear torsion beam isn't as bad as people make it out to be, especially when you consider the solid axle swap rear sway bars people install on Civics. With as big of a bar as most people run, even that wonderful double wishbone suspension acts just like a torsion beam.

who likes broken ugly things in there car? not me. so i got rid of the climate controls because good ones dont exist (and when they do there $100ish and break when you install them haha)

i still have heat i relocated the the fan controler to my glovebox and have it set to full heat (which can be adjusted from the valve under the hood when summer is here)

    anyways pics
